Australian condom brand, Moments Condoms, has announced an official partnership with the International AIDS Society.
The partnership is key to help educate and prevent HIV through the products Moments offer and the collective action that the International AIDS Society leads on every front of the global HIV response. Moments Condoms will be aiming to get listed in major supermarkets and pharmacies in Australia. Presently, Moments Condoms have a strong online presence and are listed in few key online stores. Also recently Moments Condoms has expanded into New Zealand by securing a 3-year contract with the New Zealand government.
The International AIDS Society is the world’s largest association of HIV professionals, with members in more than 170 countries.
“The work conducted by the International AIDS Society aligns perfectly with the values at Moments Condoms. We are so passionate about this partnership because the International AIDS Society’s members are researchers, clinicians, policy and programme planners, and public health and community practitioners who are at the frontline of the epidemic. They are making a huge impact and we want to play our role to help push HIV prevention efforts further,” said Nikhil Daftary, Managing Director for Coral Healthcare.
In addition, the International AIDS Society is the steward of the world’s most prestigious HIV Conferences that convenes the world’s top scientists, civil society members and policy makers to advance the HIV response.
HIV Research for Prevention is the only global scientific conference focused exclusively on the challenging and fast-growing field of HIV prevention research.
“We applaud Moments Condoms’ commitment to improving the lives of people living with and most vulnerable to acquiring HIV. It is vital that people have access to comprehensive HIV services with a range of prevention choices, including condoms as part of the prevention toolkit,” added Kevin Osborne, Executive Director, International AIDS Society.
Moments Condoms will continue to promote safe sex practice to prevent sexually transmitted diseases, including HIV, and through its partnership with the International AIDS Society will amplify its contribution to advancing HIV prevention efforts.
