At Moments, we’re all about supporting the health and wellbeing of women (and men) both here in Australia and overseas.
This is why we’re proud to have teamed up with the Desmond Tutu HIV Foundation (DTHF) in South Africa, the International Aids Society (IAS) in Switzerland, and the McGrath Foundation in Australia – each aligned to our goals of educating and supporting women around the world when it comes to good health.
Desmond Tutu HIV Foundation
DTHF is an amazing organisation that cares as much about sexual health as we do. They work incredibly hard to lessen the impact of the HIV epidemic on vulnerable individuals and communities.
Based in Cape Town, their interventions help to find solutions to HIV prevention, treatment and training. And, importantly, they aim to tackle the barriers experienced by young people in accessing health services and HIV prevention tools.
At Moments, we’re proud to have supplied more than 20,000 condoms to DTHF for their Women of Worth training sessions on sexual and reproductive health which were attended by more than 10,000 women!
‘This is an exciting partnership and we greatly appreciate Moments reaching out and providing condoms to help reduce HIV infection and the transmission of STIs’, says Caroline Reid, Communications Officer at DTHF.
‘Many young South Africans don’t know that contraceptives are available, so the condoms donated by Moments will be an important element in our training sessions’.
International AIDS Society
Another way Moments is helping to prevent AIDS and HIV is through our support of the International AIDS Society. IAS is the world’s largest association of HIV professionals with members from more than 180 countries, working on all fronts of the global AIDS response.
Moments Condoms support IAS with a donation of condoms each year to help education and outreach initiatives on World AIDS Day at IAS headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland.
McGrath Foundation
We’re also big supporters of improving the quality of healthcare right here in Australia. We’re thrilled to have partnered with the McGrath Foundation to promote education on breast cancer and providing greater support to women and families in need.
As part of this important partnership, we donate 5% of the RRP from every Moments pack sold. The money raised will help to fund McGrath Breast Care Nurses wherever they are needed and make breast health understanding a priority.
We know that contraception can play an important part in empowering women and improving sexual health so we’ll continue to support the inspirational work of these organisations.
